What a visit is like
They listen
You explain what is going on in your own words. Your provider reviews your health history.
They ask and examine
Follow-up questions and, on video, a look at a rash, a throat or a swollen ankle.
You decide together
You talk through the options and agree on a plan. If a prescription is right for you, it goes straight to your pharmacy.

Can I choose my provider?
Yes. Browse the providers on Find a provider and request a visit with someone who is taking visits, or let us match you with the next available provider.
Are your providers licensed in my state?
Providers only see patients in states where they hold an active license. When you request a visit, you are matched with a provider who can care for you where you are.
Can a CheckMD provider prescribe medicine?
Yes, when it is medically appropriate. Some medicines, such as controlled substances, are not prescribed online. See prescription refills.
