Prescription refills

Running low or need something new? A licensed provider can send a prescription to your pharmacy after a quick virtual visit, when it is right for you.

How refills work

  1. Request a visit

Tell us which medicine you need and why.

  2. Talk it through

Your provider reviews your history and checks it is still right for you.

  3. Pick it up

The prescription goes to the pharmacy you choose.

Medicines we often help with

Many everyday medicines, for example for allergies, asthma, acid reflux, skin conditions and urinary tract infections. Every prescription is a medical decision made by your provider.

What we can't prescribe online

Controlled substances, such as opioids, stimulants and benzodiazepines, are not prescribed through CheckMD. Some other medicines need lab tests or an in-person exam first; your provider will tell you if that applies.

Questions about prescriptions

Which pharmacy can I use?

Any pharmacy you like. Choose it when you request your visit.

Can you refill a prescription from another doctor?

Often, yes. Your provider will review your history and may ask for recent records.
